Tyler Huntington

Director, Portfolio Management

Tyler Huntington joined SaskCentral in 2004 and was appointed to the Executive Leadership Team in 2023.  Prior to that appointment, Tyler held a variety of positions within the Saskatchewan credit union system, including both SaskCentral and Concentra Bank. 

Tyler began his career in the financial services industry at a large investment management firm, before transitioning to the credit union system where he’s held a variety of positions within the Treasury and Capital Markets areas. 

In his current role, Tyler leads a team of investment and treasury professionals, responsible for managing SaskCentral’s investment and liquidity functions, involving over $2 billion in assets. This is a critical link to SaskCentral’s Vision of being a trusted and effective partner to Saskatchewan credit unions to enable liquidity management services and access to payment ecosystems. 

Having managed funds through the dot.com bubble, 9/11, a global financial crisis, and a global pandemic, Tyler has developed a valued reputation in his ability to provide insights related to investment and liquidity management. 

Tyler holds a Bachelor of Finance from the University of Regina, as well as Chartered Investment Manager and Derivatives Markets Specialist designations, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
